Section 4. Storage Module Memory: Details of Data Storage

4-4

A Storage Module in ring-mode has filled the memory, wrapped around
and erased the block containing the start of bad data marker or an area of
bad data which straddles flash blocks. The next block containing the
remainder of the bad data has not been erased.

In both cases the “ bad” data will be collected as normal data and written to a
file. However, when the end of bad data marker is encountered it will be
treated as if it were a file mark and the data that follows will be written into a
new file. In such a case, you will find a small file usually containing some data
that is also written to the following file.
