Slide-Out Hood On/Off Button

This oven is equipped with an automatic ventilation hood feature that
allows for improved ventilation of vapors, steam and odors, especially from
the front burners of the cook top.
This feature comes factory pre-set in the "OFF" condition, and when acti-
vated by the User, this feature operates in conjunction with the ventilation
fan.

Press the Slide-Out Hood On/Off button to activate the sliding-out hood
feature. After activation, if the vent fan is set to "HIGH", the vent hood
extends outward. The slide-out vent hood remains extended in the "LOW"
setting, as well. Press the "Slide-Out Hood On/Off" button again to turn
the feature "OFF", and pressing repeatedly will turn the feature "ON" and
"OFF".

Do not place objects or pull on the retractable slide out hood
to avoid breakage of unit. Also, do not spill food or liquid on
slide hood. Spillage of liquid or food may result in electric
shock or oven malfunction.

Turning the Vent Fan Hi/Low/Off

The vent fan removes steam and other vapors from surface cooking.
Press Vent Fan Hi/Low/Off button once for high fan speed and twice for
low fan speed or three times to turn the fan off.

Note

The Vent Fan protects the microwave from too much heat rising
from the cooktop below it. It automatically turns on at low speed if
it senses too much heat.
If you have turned the fan on, you may find that you cannot turn it
off. The fan will automatically turn off when the internal parts are
cool. It may stay on for 30 minutes or more after the cooktop and
microwave controls are turned off.
