Changing the camera’s focus

Using macro

Select Macro or Auto Macro to take close-up photos of
subjects, such as flowers or insects.

Try to hold the camera very still to prevent blurry photos.

Turn the flash off if the distance to the subject is less than 40cm.

Using auto focus

To take sharp photos, select the appropriate focus according to
your distance from the subject.

In Shooting mode, touch

Select a focus distance option.

Option

Description

Normal
(AF)

Focus on a subject farther than 80cm.

Macro

Focus on a subject between 5 to 80cm
(between 50 and 80cm while using zoom).

Auto
Macro

Focus on a subject farther than 5 cm
(farther than 50 cm while using zoom).

The options may differ depending on the shooting mode.
