Your device lets you use a microSD™ card and adapter
to expand the available memory space. This highly
secure digital card enables you to exchange images,
music, and data between SD-compatible devices. This
section details the features and options of your device’s
microSD functionality. The device has a

USB Memory

Card

mode.

USB Memory Card

(read/write to memory card) — For this

mode you do not need any drivers for any system
running Windows 2000 or newer. You MUST have a
memory card in the device and then simply plug in the
USB port. Windows will detect the device as a standard
USB drive (similar to a USB micro drive).

If you select

Charge Battery

on the device, this

method will not work to access the memory card,
as the hardware will be detected as a device
needing a charge.

and Adapter

Using the microSD Card

Your device is equipped with a

4GB

microSD (Secure

Digital) memory card and its adapter to expand the

Important

Camera and Music playback functionality are
both dependant on having a microSD
memory card present within the device.
Although the Samsung Instinct HD comes
with a pre-installed 4GB card, it can support
microSD cards of up to 16GB.
