Configuring the Camera

Before taking a photo, press Menu to access the following:

• Camera/Camcorder: allows you to switch between the camera and camcorder.

• Shooting mode:

Single: takes a single photo and allows you view it before returning to the shooting mode.

Continuous: takes a succession of photos.

Panorama: takes multiple photos to be combined into a single panoramic image.

Smile shot: focuses on the foreground or subject and not on the background.

Mosaic: takes up to four photos and then groups them together into a single final photo.

• Night mode: select On, to allow for better pictures in low light conditions, or Off.

• Size: choose the image size, from 1.3M (1280x960), 0.3M (640x480), or 320x240.

• White balance: select a setting to match conditions, from Auto, Daylight, Incandescent, Fluorescent, or Cloudy.

• Exposure meter: choose how the camera measures the light source: Matrix, Center-weighted or Spot.

• Effects: apply special effects to the photo, from None, Black and white, Sepia, Negative, or Watercolor.

• Default destination: Change or Remove the current default sending destination for new photos. Choose from Recent recipients,

Contacts, Online Album, New Email, or New number.

• Timer: set a time delay between the time you press the Camera key or

key, and when the camera captures the photo.

Select Off, 2 seconds, 5 seconds, or 10 seconds.

• Viewfinder mode: select a viewfinder, from Full screen view and indicator, Full screen view, or Full screen view and guidelines.

Press to toggle between Shooting Modes. For more information about Shooting
modes, see “Configuring the Camera” on page 97.

Press to activate the timer.
