The following steps allow you to quickly set up and work with your AT-VP504E FXO.
For more details on the various setup options, please read the AT-VP504E FXO’s
Administration Manual.

The following steps must be observed:

1.

Install the AT-VP504E FXO devices, revert to factory default settings and
configure the devices.

2.

Install the new software into the AT-VP504E FXO.

Step 1 - Install the AT-VP504E FXO, revert to factory default settings

and configure the devices

1.

With a 10/100 Hub and two (2) 10/100 BaseT Ethernet RJ-45 straight
cables, connect both cables to the Hub; one of them is connected into the
Ethernet connector of the AT-VP504E FXO and the other one links the
computer to the Hub.

Alternatively, you can connect a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet RJ-45
crossover cable
into the Ethernet connector of the AT-VP504E FXO and
connect the other end to your computer.

2.

Reconfigure the IP address of your computer to 192.168.0.10 by
accessing Start/Settings/Control Panel/Network. In the Protocols tab,
highlight the TCP/IP protocol and click Properties. In the IP address tab,
choose Specify an IP address. Enter the IP Address of 192.168.0.10 and

the Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0. Close all of the windows and reboot
your computer.

3.

Insert a small paper clip into the Default Settings hole of the
AT-VP504E FXO.

When the AT-VP504E FXO’s configuration is unknown, the Default
Settings
switch must be depressed for about 5 seconds while the
AT-VP504E FXO reboots so it reverts back to a known configuration. The
Default Settings switch is located at the back of the AT-VP504E FXO.

4.

While depressing the Default Settings switch, power the AT-VP504E FXO
on by connecting the power cord to an electrical outlet and then plugging
the power cord to the AT-VP504E FXO.

5.

From the computer connected to the first AT-VP504E FXO, enter the IP
address 192.168.0.1 in your web browser.

You should now see the Overview web page.

6.

Click the IP Configuration link of the Configuration section in the left frame.

You will be asked a user name and password. Type H323Admi as user
name and 8749H323 as password. You will gain access to the
Configuration web page.

7.

If you don’t have a DHCP server, make sure that you enter the following
parameters:

Local IP Address assigned to this AT-VP504E FXO, say
192.168.0.5

Subnet mask IP Address, which should be 255.255.255.0

Make sure that these fields are set as Static (the Static check box must be
checked).

8.

Click the Update button.

The AT-VP504E FXO will reboot with the new information that was just
entered (this will take about 10-20 seconds).

9.

Repeat steps 2-8 for the second AT-VP504E FXO. Do not change its
default IP address right now.

Warning: To avoid electrical shock, apply the following instructions:

The device must be installed by technical personnel.

Make sure the ground path is connected.

The power supply cord is used as the main disconnect device, so

ensure that the equipment is installed near a socket-outlet that is
easily accessible.

Disconnect the 4 PSTN interface connectors before disconnecting

the power cord from the device.

Warning: To reduce the risk of fire, use only No. 26 AWG or larger
telecommunication line cord.

Note: The User Name and Password are case sensitive hence they must
be entered as shown above.
