Slideshow
The slide-show option allows unattended sequential playback of
all images in the current folder that have not been hidden using
HIDE IMAGE. Photographs are displayed one after the other,
with a pause between each photograph.
The steps for setting up and starting a slide show are as follows:

Using the zoom buttons (▼▲), highlight
SLIDESHOW in the playback menu and
press the shutter-release button. The
menu shown at right will be displayed.

By default, each photograph will be dis-
played for three seconds. To change the
length of time each photo is displayed,
highlight FRAME INTVL (frame interval)
and press the shutter-release button.
Choose an interval from the menu shown
at right and press the shutter-release but-
ton to return to the SLIDESHOW menu.

In the SLIDESHOW menu, use the zoom
buttons (▼▲) to highlight START, then
press the shutter-release button to start
the slide show. The photographs in the
current folder will be displayed one at a
time in the order recorded, starting with
the oldest photo (photos hidden with the
HIDE IMAGE option will not be shown).

Using Folders (Playback)
In addition to the folder creation, renaming, and deletion functions
available in A-REC and M-REC, the playback FOLDERS menu
allows you to select a new folder for playback.
To select a folder for playback:

Use the zoom buttons (▼▲) to highlight
FOLDERS in the playback menu and press
the shutter-release button. A menu like
that shown at right will be displayed.

Using the zoom buttons (▼▲), select a
folder from the list. To view all photo-
graphs in memory, select ALL.

Press the shutter-release button to return to playback. The
most recent photograph in the selected folder will be displayed.
The other options available in the FOLDERS menu are described
in “The Camera Menus: The A-REC Menu,” above.

Tips
Each time the shutter-release button is pressed at a setting of ULTRA HS
(ultra high-speed continuous), the resulting series of up to forty photo-
graphs is stored in a separate folder beginning with “N_” and followed by
a three digit number assigned automatically by the camera. To view the
photographs in a given series, either select the folder from the list in the
FOLDERS menu or select ALL (the default setting) to view photographs in
all folders, including those beginning with “N_”.
When ALL is selected in the playback FOLDERS menu, an asterisk appears
to the right of the folder name in the LCD monitor in playback mode.
