Calculate Distance

Calculate the linear distance from the current position to the shooting location
of the image or between the shooting locations of two images.

Use the multi selector

HI to

select the desired option for
calculating the distance, and press
the

k button.

• Position nowimage: Calculates the

distance from the current position to the
image shooting location. Confirmation of
the current position starts. Proceed to step
3.

• Imageimage: Calculates the distance between the shooting locations of

two images.

Use

JK to select the image that is

the start point, and press the

k

button.

To adjust the scale of the map, use the

zoom control (

f (h)/g (i)).

Press

JK to select the image that

is the end point.

Each time an image is selected, the distance

is displayed on the screen.

To end distance calculation, press the k

button.

Notes About Distance Calculation

If the location data is not recorded on the image, the distance cannot be

calculated.

In order to calculate the distance using Position nowimage, the current

position must have been obtained (

A85).
