B The Shutter-Release
Button
The COOLPIX 880 has a two-
stage shutter-release button.
Press the shutter-release button
halfway to focus. Focus will re-
main fixed while the button is
held in this position (focus lock).
Press the shutter-release button all
the way down to take a picture.
A The Power Switch
The power switch is used to
turn the camera on and off.
C The Zoom Buttons
Use the zoom buttons to frame
photographs. The
button
zooms the camera out, increas-
ing the area visible in the final
photograph. The
button
zooms the camera in, enlarging
small or distant objects to fill the
frame.
When an image is played back
full screen, the
( ) button is
used to zoom in on the image
displayed in the monitor. Press
the
button to cancel zoom.
