Basic Photography
This section describes how to take pictures in (auto) mode, an automatic,
“point-and-shoot” mode recommended for fi rst-time users of digital cam-
eras.

* Power on lamp blinks when battery is
exhausted.
Rotate the mode dial to and turn the camera on
The power-on lamp will light and a welcome screen
will appear in the monitor or electronic viewfi nder. The
camera is ready to shoot when the view through the
camera lens is displayed.
