Connecting to a Television or VCR
Television Playback
Using the audio/video cable included with your camera, you can connect the
COOLPIX4500 to a television or VCR.
1 Connect the cable to the camera
Connect the black plug to the A / V OUT con-
nector on the camera.
2 Connect the cable to the video device
Connect the yellow plug to the video-in jack
on the television or VCR. Connect the white
plug to the audio-in jack.
Use an AC Adapter
To eliminate drain on the batteries during extended playback, connect the
camera to an optional EH-21 AC adapter/battery charger or EH-53 AC adapter.
Choosing a Video Mode ( 130)
The Video Mode item offers a choice of NTSC and PAL standards for video
output. Be sure that the standard selected matches that of any video device
to which you connect the camera.
3 Tune the television to the video channel
4 Turn the camera on
The television will perform the functions normally performed by the cam-
era monitor, and the camera monitor will turn off.
5 Press the button twice to enter full-screen playback
Pictures will be played back on the television screen.
