Use indoors where flash photography is prohibited (for
example, in museums and art galleries) or in other settings in
which you do not want to use the flash.
• Camera focuses on subject in center of frame.
• BSS (best shot selector) can be used to shoot. (A 91)
• As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, hold the
camera steadily.

Slow shutter speeds are used to capture the expanding burst
of light from a firework.
• Camera focuses at infinity. When the shutter-release button
is pressed halfway, the focus indicator ( A 6) always glows
green; however, focus may not be set for near subjects,
while the camera focuses at infinity.
• Electronic VR (A 114) is set to OFF.
