Battery is fully charged.

(For charging time, see Technical Data).

3 Remove the battery.

4 Disconnect mains power plug from the mains

power socket.

Storage:

The place of storage must be inaccessible for
children.

1 Remove the battery.

2 Disconnect mains power plug from the mains

power socket.

3 Store battery charger in a dry, frost-proof

place.

Store the battery only in a charged state! Fully
recharge the battery after 12 months of storage, at
the latest!

Troubleshooting:

Before eliminating faults, disconnect the
mains power plug!

- lamp yellow (3) flashes:

Battery temperature outside the permissible
charging temperature (5°C to 45°C).

The Charging will begin automatically once the
battery reaches the correct charging
temperature.

In the event of other faults, please contact
ROTHENBERGER Service. Repairs should only be
carried out by ROTHENBERGER service centres or
dealers authorised by ROTHENBERGER.

Symbols:

The battery clamps of the charger are
fed by mains supply. Do not touch the
tool with conducting objects.

Please read the instructions carefully
before starting the machine.

Care and Maintenance

ROMAX EXPANDER Compact:

Remove the battery prior to carrying out any work
on the machine.

Check that the expander head are absolutely
functional. Damaged expander heads must not be
used and must be sent to an authorised repair
shop.

Periodically have the guidance inclusive thread
checked referring to damages.

A damaged guidance has to be changed by an
authorised repair shop.

Clean and grease the expanding pin after finishing
work.

Use only high quality pressing or ball bearing
grease.

All other servicing, maintenance and repair work
must be carried out by an authorised
ROTHENBERGER repair shop.

If the seal is damaged the warranty will be null and
void.

After 10.000 expanding cycles or after 1 year have
the machine serviced by an authorised workshop.

When dispatching the machine ensure that it is
packed in its carrying case completely with battery
and charger in the carry case only.

Electro-hydraulic machine does not exceed 3 hours
in a -5° C storage.

Disconnect battery from machine before storing.

Charger:

If the supply cord of this appliance is damaged, it
must only be replaced by a ROTHENBERGER repair
shop appointed by the manufacturer, because
special purpose tools are required.

Accessories

The relevant accessories and an order form can be
found from Page 26 onwards.

Disposal

Components of the unit are recyclable material and
should be put to recycling. For this purpose
registered and certified recycling companies are
available. For an environmental friendly disposal of
the non-recyclable parts (e.g. electronic waste)
please contact your local waste disposal authority.
Old batteries can be taken to your specialist dealer
who will dispose of them in conformity with
environmental regulations.

For EU countries only:

Do not dispose of electric tools with
domestic waste. In accordance with
European Directive 2012/19/EC on
waste electrical and electronic

equipment and its implementation as national law,
electric tools that are no longer serviceable must be
collected separately and utilised for
environmentally compatible recycling. Used
removable batteries must not be thrown in fire or
in the household rubbish.
