PANINI GRILL TL-5270 ─ Operating Instructions

General

The Panini Grill TL-5270 is a flexible, two-sided grill used to

heat panini-style sandwiches quickly and easily.

The TL-5270 features a non-stick grill surface and adjustable

temperature knob that can be set between 100°F (38°C) and

500°F (260°C). It can be used to grill sandwiches up to 2.75

inches (70 mm) thick.

Warranty Information

This unit includes a 90-day warranty for the manufacturer’s

workmanship. This warranty coverage does not require the sup-

port of our Authorized Service Agencies. For specific inquiries,

Equipment Setup

1. Remove the unit and all packing materials from the shipping

carton.

2. Remove all packing materials and protective coverings from

the unit.

3. Wipe all surfaces of the unit with a hot, damp cloth.

NOTE: Do NOT use a dripping wet cloth. Wring out before

use.

4. Place the unit on a sturdy, level table or other work surface.

5. Ensure that the line voltage corresponds to the state voltage

on the unit’s specification label and power cord warning tag. If

you are unsure about your line voltage, contact an electrician.

6. Connect the unit to the power supply.

Operating Instructions

Operation

1. Turn the unit on by turning the black temperature knob to the

desired temperature.

2. The LED on the front will light up, indicating the unit is

warming up. When the LED turns off, the unit is ready.

3. Place the sandwich on the bottom plate and use the handle

to briefly apply pressure down onto the sandwich.

NOTE: Pressure from the top plate can be adjusted by

using the black knob on the back of the unit. To increase

the pressure, turn the knob counter-clockwise. To

descrease the pressure, turn the knob clockwise.

4. Allow the sandwich to cook in the grill for as long as desired.

5. Use the handle on the top of the unit to lift the top plate up,

then carefully remove the sandwich from the heating plate.

6. When finished, turn the grill off by turning the temperature

knob to the off position.

NOTE: Be sure to close the grill when not in use.

Cleaning

1. Immediately after use, clean the top and bottom plates of the

grill with a plastic scaper, removing all food that may be stuck.

NOTE: Do NOT use metal tools to clean the plates. Metal

tools could scratch or cut the surface of the grill.

2. Turn the power off, unplug the power cord, and allow the unit

to cool down.

3. Use a cloth and a general cleaning agent to wipe down the

outside of the unit.

4. Plug the power cord in and return the unit to service.
