Let’s be fair: People don’t choose in-wall
speakers because of their great sound. They
choose in-wall speakers because they’re
practically invisible. It’s a compromise. Ok, we
understand that.
What we don’t understand is how people put
up with the mediocre sound of most in-wall
speakers.
So we changed all that, once and for all.
Our new In-Wall Closed Box (IWCB) series
solves the three biggest problems of
conventional in-wall speakers:
Them: Open-back speakers that let the woofer
“wing it,” totally at the mercy of the wild
uncertainties of the wall cavity’s acoustics.
Atlantic: A completely sealed enclosure that
optimizes the woofer’s sound, just like the best
“real” speakers.
Them: A woofer that plays too far up into the upper midrange, so it beams the sound like a
flashlight right over the listener’s head.
Atlantic: Our exclusive wide-dispersion Low
Resonance Tweeter (LRT™) that handles the
midrange AND treble, for great sound coverage,
even when the speaker is mounted above ear
level.
Them: Clunky, unsophisticated tweeter
“pivoting” mechanism. Doesn’t do much
good, because their tweeters don’t handle the
directionally-important midrange.
Atlantic: Our exclusive Directional Vector
Control (DVC™) that directs the midrange at
the listeners electronically. Innovative. Precise.
