Why can't I write data to Memory Stick media?
❑ Some versions of Memory Stick media are equipped with an erasure prevention switch to protect data from accidental
erasure or overwriting. Make sure the erasure prevention switch is off.
❑ You cannot write data to the Memory Stick media if you select the option to disable the Memory Stick slot with the
Peripheral Device & Storage Media Restriction Setting Utility or the power supply to the Memory Stick slot on the
VAIO Power Management tab in the Power Options window. To change the settings, see Protecting Data from
Unauthorized Use
(page 149) or Managing Power with VAIO Power Management (page 146) .
