Types of discs you can use

This section explains about discs you can use for backing up a disc or creating a disc playable on other
DVD players.
The types of discs that can be used ( ) for copying vary depending on the type of disc used to make

the source disc and the recorded video quality level of the source disc. For details, refer to the charts
below.

When a disc is recorded with HD (High Definition) picture quality (Copy)

When a disc is recorded with HD (High Definition) picture quality (Convert to DVD Video)

When a disc is recorded with SD (Standard Definition) picture quality

You cannot copy from 12 cm disc to 8 cm disc.

When a 12 cm disc is copied to a 12 cm disc, a +R DL 12 cm disc can be the destination only for a +R DL 12 cm original
disc.

z

DVD-R DL is not supported.
