Deleting the supplied software
You can delete the supplied software from built-in memory with the following
procedure or by formatting your Walkman. If necessary, copy the data to your
computer as a backup before deleting the supplied software.
If you use a Mac computer, copy the [FOR_MAC] folder to your computer as
a backup if necessary.
1. Connect your Walkman to your computer using the USB cradle (supplied).
2. Follow one of the procedures below, depending on the type of computer
you use.
Windows 7 or earlier:
Select [start] – [Computer] or [My Computer] – [WALKMAN] – [Storage
Media].
Windows 8:
Select [Desktop] from [Start screen] to open [File Explorer]. In the
[Computer] list, select [WALKMAN] – [Storage Media].
Mac:
Select [WALKMAN] in the sidebar of Finder.
3. Delete the [FOR_WINDOWS] and [FOR_MAC] folder.
