The sales tax worksheet

sales tax, or the tax rate itself.

Before Tax: the amount
before taxes.

Tax Rate%: the tax rate as
a percentage.
•
After Tax: the amount after
taxes.
Example: The local tax rate is 5.5% You have a maximum of $70
to spend on clothing. What is the maximum amount of clothing
you can purchase and still have enough to pay for the tax?
