Move the power zoom lever slightly for a slower zoom. Move it further for a faster
zoom.

A: Wide angle
B: Telephoto

Note

Zoom speed will be slightly slower while recording movies.
Be sure to keep your finger on the power zoom lever. If you move your finger off the power
zoom lever, the operation sound of the power zoom lever may also be recorded.
You cannot change the zoom speed with the W/T button on the LCD monitor.
The minimum possible distance between this product and subject while maintaining sharp
focus is about 1 cm (about 13/32 in.) for wide angle and about 100 cm (about 39 3/8 in.) for
telephoto.

Adjusting the focus manually

You can adjust the focus manually by rotating the lens ring to right/left.

1. Press the AF/MF button to set the focus to manual.

appears on the LCD monitor when the manual focus setting is selected.

Use this function in the following cases.

To record a subject behind a window covered with raindrops.
To record horizontal stripes.
To record a subject with little contrast between the subject and its background.
When you want to focus on a subject in the background.
To record a stationary subject using a tripod.

2. Flip the ZOOM/FOCUS switch to the ZOOM or FOCUS side, and then rotate the lens

ring.
