Using as earplugs
(Quiet Mode)
You can use the Noise Canceling function to get peace and quiet.

Connect the supplied headphones to the player and set the NOISE
CANCELING switch to the direction of the arrow .

Press and hold the BACK/HOME button until the Home menu
appears.

Press the /// button to select (Settings), and then press
the  button to confirm.

Press the /// button to select “NC Settings,” and then press
the  button to confirm.
The list of “NC Settings” options appears.

Press the /// button to select “NC Modes,” and then press the
 button to confirm.

Hint
 If the player is connected to external audio devices through the supplied audio input
cable, you can switch to “External Input Mode” by pressing the  button.
Notes
 While using “External Input Mode” or “Quiet Mode,” the screensaver does not activate.
Instead, the screen dims after certain period passed.
 If the player is connected with external audio devices through the supplied audio input
cable, the player automatically enters “External Input Mode” in step

. To enter “Quiet
Mode,” disconnect the cable or press the  button.
