How to Connect Your
Network

Set up the network after checking your
network environment. Refer to the following
descriptions.

Wireless Network:

Set up your network using the supplied
CD-ROM. Refer to the leaflet “Preparations
for listening to music via your home network”
for details.
Refer to option 1 when you set up your
network manually.

WPS Compliant Wireless
Network:

• Option 2: WPS push button configuration

Wired network:

• Option 4: DHCP method (page 18)
• Option 5: Fixed IP method (page 18)

Tip

You can set up a wireless network using a fixed IP
address. Refer to the instructions for a wired
network (page 18).

When a problem occurs while
you are making the network
settings

Press ALL RESET button on the bottom of the
unit with a pointed object (such as a small pin)
(page 10).

Setting Up Wireless
Networks

Your computer must be connected to the
wireless LAN router/access point in advance.
Write down important information such as the
SSID and security method, etc. of your
wireless LAN router/access point.
Refer to the operating instructions of the
router.

Check whether your computer
and wireless LAN router/
access point are turned on.

Connect the unit and the
wireless LAN router/access
point using a network (LAN)
cable.

Turn the unit on.

Click [My Network] or [Network]
t [SA-NS300].

The [Sony Network Device Setting]
screen appears.
