Select

(AUDIO SETUP), then select the desired item and option below, using

M/m and (ENTER).

For details on this procedure, see “Basic operation of visual setup” on page 41.

Follow the page reference for details. “z” indicates the default setting.

SUPER AUDIO CD MODE

Selects the sound quality for Super
Audio CD playback.

HQ (z)

To have high sound quality.

STD

To have standard sound quality.

SUPER AUDIO CD LAYER
(page 34)

Selects the playback layer (area) of
a Super Audio CD.

MULTI (z)

To play multi-channel area in the
Super Audio CD layer.

2CH

To play 2-channel (stereo) area in
the Super Audio CD layer.

CD

To play CD layer (if contained).

POSITION SELECT (page 37)

Sets the listening position to obtain
the feeling of being in the center of
the sound field wherever you sit in
the car.

OFF (z)

To not set the listening position.

FRONT

To set to center front.

ALL

To set to the center of your car.

FRONT L

To set to front left.

FRONT R

To set to front right.

CUSTOM

To precisely calibrate the listening
position (page 38).

AUDIO DRC

Makes the sound clear when the
volume is low. Only for a DVD
conforming to Audio DRC
(Dynamic Range Control).

STANDARD (z)

To select the standard setting.

WIDE RANGE

To obtain the feeling of being at a
live performance.

5.1CH OUTPUT

Switches the method of outputting
5.1-channel sources.

5.1CH (z)

To output in 5.1 channels.

DOWNMIX

To downmix to 2 channels.

PROLOGIC II (page 32)

Outputs 2-channel sources in
multi-channel.

OFF (z)

To deactivate the Pro Logic II
mode.

MUSIC

To create deep, wide sound for
stereo audio recordings.

MOVIE

To enhance the sound field of stereo
television shows and all programs
encoded in Dolby Surround.
