Recording Motion Picture
This can record full high definition motion pictures compatible with the AVCHD format or
motion pictures recorded in MP4, MOV.
Audio will be recorded in stereo.
• Maximum time to record motion pictures continuously with [MP4] is 29 minutes
59 seconds or up to 4 GB.
• Though a [MOV] motion picture can be recorded continuously without a pause even
when its file size exceeds 4 GB, the recorded content is played back with multiple files.
Item Format
[AVCHD]
Select this format to record HD (high definition) video for playback on
your HDTV using an HDMI connection.
[MP4]
Select this format to record standard definition video for playback on your
PC.
[MOV] Data format for image editing.

Start recording by pressing the motion
picture button.

• The recording state indicator (red) C will flash while
recording motion pictures.
• If approximately 10 seconds elapses without an
operation being performed, part of the display will
disappear. Press [DISP.] or touch the monitor to
make the display reappear.
• Release the motion picture button right after you
press it.

Stop the recording by pressing the motion
picture button again.
