AeroBed Valve Replacement Instructions - Manual

TIP:
If you are experiencing difficulty replacing your valve
because the soft black valve is too stiff, you may warm the
flange with a standard household hairdryer. The vinyl will
warm and soften after just a few minutes. Do not place the
hairdryer too close to the product. This may cause damage.
DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN. This may damage your product.
Place your thumb on the tab and your index finger
underneath the valve lid. Squeeze tab away from hinge
to release (Figure 1). Once tab clicks open, easily lift tab
cover to open position.
The valve will open as shown (Figure 2).
To remove old valve, at tab latch, peel soft black rim back
and lift the hard black plastic on the outer edge of the valve
toward the center (Figure 3). The valve will then be easy to
lift off. Now you are ready to install the replacement valve
(Figure 4).
To install your new valve, first open the replacement valve
top. (Figure 1). Once open, seat the hinge area onto the
hinge support, then squeeze the soft vinyl ring towards the
center of the mattress opening. Simply feed the vinyl through
the opening of the new valve. Do not use any tools or sharp
objects as this may damage the flange or puncture the
product. Once the vinyl has been fed through the opening,
make sure there are no bulges in the vinyl ring. Slide your
thumb around the inner edge to make sure that it is smooth.
Next, lock your replacement valve shut. You are now ready
to inflate your Aerobed.
