4. USE IN ACCORDANCE

WITH PURPOSE

Thoroughly clean the cooking plate (a/e)
and the tray (f) before they are used for the
first time. The grilling and frying plates can
be cleaned in a dishwashing machine (1).
Danger of electric shock!
Never put the thermostatic plug (c) with
the mains cable into the dishwashing
machine.

5. OPERATING THE APPLIANCE

FORTHE FIRST TIME (Fig. 1)

Preparing the unit
The unit can be used in two ways.
The grilling plate (e) with the grooved sur-
face is suitable for the typical grilling of
steaks, cutlets or the like.
The frying plate (a) with the smooth surface
is used to fry shellfish, eggs, sliced vegeta-
bles or the like.
Pull out the tray from the unit (2).
Select the relevant plate for the cooking

process and turn it to face upwards (3).

Push the tray below the plate into the

slot provided for it (4).

Note:Allow enough space between the wall
and the unit to allow air to circulate better.
Danger of burns due to hot unit parts or
hot fat!
Only touch the unit at the special handles.
Before turning the unit over, first pull the
tray out of the unit (2).

6. Operation (Fig. 2-9)

Switching on the unit
Plug the thermostatic plug (c) into the

unit socket until it clicks. Connect the
unit to the mains (5).

Set the temperature regulator to the

desired temperature level (6).
The heater indicator light stays on for as
long as the heater is in operation.

Note: As a result of the production process,
a small amount of smoke may be given off
the first time the unit is used.
The heating-up time is around 4-6 minutes,
depending on the temperature level that
was set. Once the desired temperature has
been reached, the heating indicator light
goes out. Then the grilling plate or frying
plate can be filled with food for cooking (7).

Note: The heating indicator light comes on
in each heating-up phase until the tempera-
ture has been reached.

Temperature regulator
The temperature regulator (d) is used to
vary the temperature of the cooking plate.

If you wish to use the highest temperature
set the temperature to “MAX” and allow
the heating indicator light to come on and
go out several times. This produces a more
even temperature for the cooking plate.

Turning over the unit
Turn the temperature regulator (d) to

“MIN” and pull out the thermostatic plug
(see also “Putting the unit away“).

Thoroughly clean the last plate that was

used (see “Cleaning and care“).

Pull the tray out (2).
Hold the unit by the handles provided

when turning it over (3).

Connect the unit again to the mains.

Putting the unit away
Turn the temperature regulator (d) to

“MIN“ and pull out the mains plug.
