S1308-OCP Offset Cam Pin

Use your existing Gen 1 (1999-2007) Hayabusa intake camshaft in the Gen 2 (2008-09) Hayabusa engines!

The new S1308-OCP offset cam pin was developed to allow the use of Gen 1 Hayabusa intake cams (on stock or
aftermarket core) in the Gen 2 Hayabusa engine.

The second generation Hayabusa’s cam pin is located in a different location relevant to the earlier Busa’s. If the earlier
cams are used, the stock Gen 2 Hayabusa ECU believes there is a problem with the cam timing and does not allow the
engine to run properly (or not allow the engine to run at all in some instances).

Installation of the S1308-OCP is a snap. Simply remove the stock pin and press our
S1308-OCP into place oriented as shown (pin trigger advanced compared to stock Gen 1)
to an installed height of .310 inch minimum to .315 inch maximum.

Check the installed

height with depth micrometer or dial caliper, installed height MUST be .310 inch minimum
to .315 inch maximum.

Clean all surfaces thoroughly and apply Loctite RED permanent

thread locker to mating surfaces before pressing into place.

Note: the STOCK GEN 2 Hayabusa cam bearing RETAINING CLIP ** MUST BE
INSTALLED **
on the cam bearing IN ADDITION to the entire cam bearing assembly re-
oriented to match Gen 2 Busa original position (reversed in the head compared to earlier
models. Use your Gen 2 Hayabusa intake cam as an example).

CAUTION: Serious damage to the cylinder head and/or cam caps can result if the Gen 2 Hayabusa bearing clip is not used!
