For use with a grounded, 3-wire power supply source in dry locations only

Lighted lamp is HOT − do not touch lens or enclosure.

Mount fixtures a minimum of 12" from any object located under fixtures.

To reduce the possibility of injury, mount the fixture on a surface that is

structurally sound.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

PLUG-IN ASSEMBLY

Note: Cord/Plug and interconnect cable is not intended for use through, or

concealed behind, walls, floors or ceilings.

1. Disconnect power before installing or servicing fixture.

2. With lens facing you, slide lens releases back and lift lens. Locate and

identify lamp socekts.

3. Using the fixture as a template, trace the outline of the mounting holes

onto mounting surface.

4. Drill pilot holes (Figure 2). Insert mounting screws in each hole and

tighten. Loosen each screw one (1) turn for fixture mounting.

5. Lift fixture into place over the mounting screws and slide fixture to one

side so screw heads are in the keyholes. Tighten mounting screws.

6. Insert lamps into sockets (UH SERIES: 25W T4 Halogen, 120V Lamp

Max.; UX SERIES: 20W T3 Xelogen, 12V Lamp Max.). Close lens and

slide releases forward until it snaps and locks into the housing.

7. Remove plug cover. Insert “IN” plug of power cord into the “IN” plug on

side of fixture. Plug other end of power cord into desired grounded outlet.

HARDWIRE

CAUTION: RISK OF SHOCK; discard cord if fixtures are directly hardwired.

1. Use hardwire box installation instructionss to mount the box.

2. Follow steps 1-6 of Plug-In Assembly.

3. Remove plug cover. Insert 12" plug-and-play cable (included) from the

fixture plug labeled “OUT” and into the hardwire box. (Figure 3)

DIRECT WIRE - Installation by licensed electrician only

CAUTION: RISK OF SHOCK; discard cord if fixtures are directly hardwired.

1. Remove knock-out.

2. Secure conduit connector (ordered separately) through knockout and

tighten with hex nut and lock washer.

3. Remove screws from back inside of fixture to expose wires (Figure 4).

Hands-free hanger allows for cover to hang without removal.

4. Connect black wire to black wire to “in” connector/switch wire. Connect

white wire to white wire to transformer/plug-and-play connector.

Connect green to ground. (Figure 5)

5. Replace cover and screw into place.

6. Follow steps 1-6 of Plug-In Assembly.

INTERCONNECTING FIXTURES

UH fixtures have a maximum run of 550W (22 x 25W lamps).

UX fixtures have a maximum run of 560W (28 x 20W lamps).

1. Remove plug covers. Attach the 12" plug-and-play cable (provided) from

fixture plug to fixture plug, matching the “IN” and “OUT” labels. (Figure 6)

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

• Read all the instructions before installation. Save instructions for later use.

• Turn off power at fuse or circuit breaker box before installation or before doing

any maintenance work.

• Product must be grounded to avoid potential electric shock and any other

potential hazards.

• Product must be mounted in locations and at heights and in a manner consistent

with its intended use, and in compliance with National Electrical Code and local

codes. Use of accessory equipment is not recommended.

• Installing contrary to instructions may cause unsafe conditions.

• Do not block light from the trim aperture, in whole or in part, as this may cause

unsafe conditions.

Warning: Risk of fire. Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wire rated

at 60°C. Consult a qualified electrician before installation.

• To avoid hazards to children, account for all parts and properly dispose of all

packing materials.
