Your XE-12H 1:2 HDMI Distributor
Congratulations on purchasing your XE-12H, which is ideal for home theater, presentation and
multimedia applications. Your XE-12H 1:2 HDMI Distributor reclocks and equalizes the HDMI
signal and distributes it to two identical outputs. It includes enhanced EDID (Extended Display
Identification Data) which is a data-structure, provided by a display, to describe its capabilities to a
graphics card (that is connected to the display’s source). The EDID enables the XE-12H to “know”
what kind of monitor is connected to the output. The EDID includes the manufacturer’s name, the
product type, the timing data supported by the display, the display size, luminance data and (for
digital displays only) the pixel mapping data. The XE-12H can store and recall an EDID setting in
non-volatile memory from one of the outputs allowing convenient and reliable connection to the
source. The XE-12H is HDTV compatible, HDCP compliant and has active input and output LED
indictors. It has a maximum data rate of 1.65Gbps and uses an energy-saving 5V DC power
adapter that’s provided free!
Connecting the XE-12H 1:2 HDMI Distributor
To setup your XE-12H, connect:
1. An HDMI source (for example, a DVD player) to the INPUT connector.
2. The OUTPUT connectors to HDMI acceptors (for example, plasma displays).
3. The 5V DC power adapter to the power socket and connect the adapter to the mains
electricity.
To acquire the EDID, using the EDID SETUP button:
1. Press and hold the button. The OUT1 and OUT2 LEDs light alternately.
2. Release the button when the OUT LED that lights is the one you want to acquire the EDID.
Note:
Use good quality connection cables to avoid interference, deterioration in signal quality due to poor matching, and elevated noise
levels (often associated with low quality cables) and position your product away from moisture, excessive sunlight and dust.
