Congratulations on your purchase of an alfi product. We thank
you for your confidence in our product. This manual contains
some important instructions relating to its use and care. If you
follow these instructions, your alfi vacuum flask will last for
years to come.

alfi active bottle coolers

They are equipped with a two-chamber, or three-chamber
chiller system for cooling up to one-litre bottles. The freezer
packs can be rearranged to control the cooling intensity, and a
height adjustment plate can be inserted to adapt the cooler to
suit the size of the bottle. The freezer packs are not dishwasher
safe and shall be cleaned with water only.

alfi ice buckets

For keeping cool, rinse out with cold water before use and fill
with cold goods, close immediately. Always use the plastic
insert to protect the glass. It is dishwasher safe.

Note: Streaks in the glass inner do bear no influence on the
durability and insulating capabilities of the flask or jug.

alfi food jars

For keeping food hot, rinse out the food jar with hot water
before use. Place the hot food immediately into the jar, replace
lid and close the jar. To keep food cold, rinse out the food jar
with cold water before use. If you use a vacuum food jar with
insulating glass insert, please fit the glass protection insert
and/or the portion insert to protect the glass. Both inserts are
dishwasher safe and should always be washed thoroughly at
the highest temperature as possible. If your food jar is not
equipped with a glass protection insert or portion insert, please
only use plastic cuttlery.

alfi Top Therm food jars

They are equipped with a compartiment divider with its own lid
and are completely dishwasher safe. These food jars can also be
used without insert.

Cleaning and care

Vacuum flasks and jugs and their protection inserts shall be
cleaned regularly. After each use, clean the interior with a
mixture of water and sodium carbonate. Coffee, tea and scale
deposits can be removed easily using cleaning agents for
dentures, a mixture of hot water and vinegar or baking powder.

Please rinse thoroughly after cleaning.

alfi food jars with glass insert, ice buckets and active bottle
coolers are not dishwasher safe. Never place and immerse them
in water.

The alfi cleaning brush no. 93 or no. 94 with foam head is ideal
for cleaning.

Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth or sponge, and rub
dry. Do not use abrasive or hard scouring pads, nor brushes
made of metal or hard plastic, nor abrasive cleaning agents.

After cleaning, store with open lid in an upright position.

Safety instructions

Like silver jewellery or cutlery, silver plated vacuum carafes can
tarnish over time. The vacuum flask is delivered in a protective
bag that prevents or delays the surface tarnish. Clean the
silver-plated vacuum flask regularly to ensure a long-lasting,
brilliant shine. For best results, use commercially available
silver polishing cloth or silver care product such as Purargan
from WMF.

- Ice buckets and active bottle coolers are for use on table

only.

- Do not carry or keep ice cubes in flasks or jugs without glass

protection insert. The transport of ice cubes could damage
the inner glass insert.

- Do not use the vacuum flask to store or transport carbonated

beverages unless such use is expressly designated.

- Do not use the vacuum flask to keep milk products or baby

food warm (risk for bacteria growth).

- Glass insulation inserts are fragile. If a vacuum flask with a

glass insert falls or is not handled properly, the glass insert
can break. Do not drink directly from the vacuum flask
because it could contain glass splinters, especially if the seal
no longer seems tight.

- You will achieve maximum insulation by rinsing out the flask

with hot or cold water before use, depending on wether the
contents are to be kept warm or cool. Also this will reduce
the risk of getting the glass insert broken.

- Do not place into the microwave, oven, on cooker or hot

plates.

- Do not allow unsupervised children to touch the vacuum

flask.

- alfi vacuum flasks are suitable only for use with food

products.

alfi vacuum flasks conform to the currently valid European
norm DIN EN 12546. We guarantee the material and
workmanship for 2 years after the date of purchase and the
insulation performance for 5 years.

alfi quality guarantee

9001.

caused by the customer or damage that occurs due to improper

parts. In such cases you can order the required spare parts after
long years also and let your vacuum product repair from your
local dealer or from the alfi customer service. Spare parts such
as insulating glass insert, sealing ring, screw lid, freezer packs,
