Congratulations and Thank-you for your purchase of Hogtunes speakers!
Since positive word of mouth is the best way to grow our business, we want
your new speakers to work as well as they were designed to. If you have any

Fairing (Front) Installation Instructions


Step #1: Remove the ground wire from the battery, or make sure your igni-
tion switch stays in the “OFF” position.

Step #2: Remove your outer fairing/headlamp/passing lamp assembly, and
set it aside. Refer to a service manual if you need help with this. With the
outer fairing/headlamp/passing lamp assembly removed, locate the back of
each speaker.

Step #3: Take the 2 wires off each speaker by gently pulling one at a time.
Undo the screws that attach each speaker to the inner fairing and carefully
remove each speaker from the bike.

Step #4: BRAKE SIDE Using the stock screws, CAREFULLY install the
new speaker with the connectors on the speaker oriented so they are point-
ing to the extreme outside of the bike. Note: The coarse threads of the stock
screws will strip the inner fairing if over tightened so please be careful!!
Plug the grey wire with the red stripe onto the speaker connector marked
with a red dot (+). Plug the green wire with the black stripe onto the other
speaker connector (-)

Step #5: CLUTCH SIDE Using the stock screws, CAREFULLY install the
new speaker with the connectors on the speaker oriented so the are pointing
to the extreme outside of the bike. Note: The coarse threads of the stock
screws will strip the inner fairing if over tightened so please be careful!!
Plug the white wire with the orange stripe onto the speaker connector
marked with a red dot (+). Plug the green wire with the white stripe onto
the other speaker connector (-)

Step #6: Once you are confident the factory wires are correctly attached to
the new speakers, re-install the battery ground wire, and turn on your radio
to confirm that both speakers are playing. Re-install your fairing/headlamp
assembly/passing lamp. Your new speakers are ready to enjoy!


Rear “Pod” Installation Instructions


Step #1:

Remove the ground wire from the battery, or make sure your igni-

tion switch stays in the “OFF” position.

Step #2: The factory rear grills are held in by friction clips. Pull up on each
grill and remove. Undo the 4 screws that hold the speaker in place and take
the 2 wires off by pulling one at a time from the stock speaker. Remove the
speakers.

Step #3: On the BRAKE SIDE, plug the green wire onto the speaker con-
nector marked with a red dot (+). Plug the white wire with the green stripe
onto the other speaker connector (-). On the CLUTCH SIDE, plug the
brown wire onto the speaker connector marked with a red dot (+). Plug
the white wire with the brown stripe onto the other speaker connector (-).
Once you are confident the factory wires are correctly attached to the new
speakers, sit them in place, secure the speaker by reinstalling the 4 screws,
and put the grills back on.

Step#4: Re-install the battery ground wire, turn your radio on and confirm
that both speakers are playing. Your new speakers are ready to enjoy!

Warranty Information:

Hogtunes speakers are warranted for a period of 20 years to the original pur-
chaser. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. All Warranty
claims must be made through the dealer this product was originally purchased
from. Products found to be defective during the warranty period will be re-
placed (with a product deemed to be equivalent) at Hogtunes sole discretion.

What Is Not Covered:

1)Any expense related to the removal or re-installation of these speakers.
2)Repairs to these speakers performed by anyone other than Hogtunes.
3)Subsequent damage to any other components.
4)Any product purchased from a non-authorized Hogtunes dealer.
5)Damage to speakers from an accident or collision.
