Turn off house water. With a

permanent marker, mark the tube
at either end of the brass thread
fi ttings.

Cut out a 1" section of pipe between

innermost marks.

Slide compression nut and brass
ferrule over each section of tube.
Center Add-A-Line over cut out
section of tube, using marks as a
guide.

Slide nut and ferrule over the tube,
with the narrow end of ferrule
toward the valve. Tighten nut onto
the threads. DO NOT overtighten.

Use one wrench to tighten each
compression nut on trunk while
holding the Add-A-Line with another
wrench. DO NOT over-tighten.

Turn on house water and check for

leaks.

Turn off house water. With a

permanent marker, mark the tube
at either end of each brass fi tting of
the Replace-A-Valve.

Cut out the leaky valve at the inner

marks.

Slide a compression nut and a brass
ferrule over each section of cut tube.

Then, slip the Replace-A-Valve over

one section of tube, then the other,

lining up the compression threads
with the outer marks.

With two wrenches, tighten each
compression nut. DO NOT over
tighten.

Turn on house water and check for

leaks.
