Camera/computer communications
Ready light blinks
green. ■ Camera is operating normally.
Ready light blinks
amber. ■ Wait. Resume picture taking when the light stops blinking and turns
green.
Ready light blinks
red and camera
turns off. ■ Install new batteries ( page 1 ) or charge rechargeable batteries.
Ready light glows
steady red. ■ Transfer pictures to the computer ( page 33 ), delete pictures from the
camera ( page 22 ), switch image storage locations ( see page 41 ), or
insert a card with available memory ( page 4 ).
■ Wait. Resume picture taking when the light turns green.
■ Change the image storage location to internal memory ( page 41 ), or
use a different card.
Ready light glows
steady green. ■ Camera is operating normally.
Ready light is off
and LCD is on. ■ Camera is operating normally.
If... Try one or more of the following
The computer does
not communicate
with the camera. ■ Visit z885.
■ Turn on the camera ( page 2 ).
■ Install new batteries ( page 1 ) or charge rechargeable batteries.
■ Connect cable to camera and computer port ( page 33 ).
■ Install the software ( page 32 ).
■ Disconnect the USB cable. Close all open applications. Re-install the
software (
page 32 ).
■ Disconnect camera from the computer. Close all software applications,
reconnect camera.
