Step 3. Disconnect all cables attached to the computer. This includes power cords, input/output (I/O)
cables, and any other cables that are connected to the computer. Refer to “Left and right view”
and “Rear view” for help with locating the various connectors.
Step 4. Remove the rear cover. Refer to “Removing the rear cover”.
Step 5. Remove the EMI cover. Refer to “Removing the EMI cover”.
Step 6. Remove the battery. Refer to “Replacing the battery”.
Step 7. Remove the hard disk drive. Refer to “Replacing the hard disk drive”.
Step 8. Remove the battery fan. Refer to “Replacing the battery fan”.
Step 9. Remove the speaker system. Refer to “Replacing the speaker system”.
Step 10. Remove the system fans. Refer to “Replacing the system fans”.
Step 11. Remove the heat-sink modules. Refer to “Replacing the heat-sink modules”.
Step 12. Remove the hinge. Refer to “Removing the hinge”.
Step 13. Remove the converter board. Refer to “Replacing the converter board”.
Step 14. Remove the touch control board. Refer to “Replacing the touch control board”.
Step 15. Remove the camera. Refer to “Replacing the camera”.
Step 16. Remove the power switch board. Refer to “Replacing the power switch board”.
Step 17. Remove the Bluetooth module. Refer to “Replacing the Bluetooth module”.
Step 18. Remove the Wi-Fi card. Refer to “Replacing the Wi-Fi card”.
Step 19. Remove the TV tuner card. Refer to “Replacing the TV tuner card”.
Step 20. Remove the solid state disk. Refer to “Replacing the solid state disk”.
Step 21. Remove all memory modules. Refer to “Replacing a memory module”.
Step 22. Remove the front function board. Refer to “Replacing the front function board”.
Step 23. Remove all the cables attached to the chassis and front bezel.
Step 24. To install the new the LED panel:
a. Attach all the parts to the chassis.
b. Attach and reconnect all the cables.
Step 25. Reattach the EMI cover and rear cover.
