To send image data over the network, such as the Internet Fax and PC-FAX (in network connection) func-
tions, connection and settings of the network cable are required.

Connection of network cable

Connect a UTP cable (category 5 or later recommended) connected to the network to the Ethernet connector
on the machine.

It supports 1000Base-T, 100Base-TX, and 10Base-T standards. In addition, TCP/IP (LPD/LPR, IPP), Web
services, IPX/SPX (NetWare), AppleTalk (EtherTalk) protocols are supported.

Network settings

An IP address must be assigned to the machine and settings, such as the SMTP server, must be specified in
order to use the machine on the network. For the detailed procedure, refer to the [User's Guide Administrator
Operations].

Specifying an E-mail address for this machine

An E-mail address must be registered to this machine to use the Internet Fax function. This E-mail address
