7.2 Receiving (G3: With external telephone connected)
7.2.1 Manual RX (Dedicated telephone line)
It is convenient to set the machine to manual mode if an external telephone is connected to this machine and
the line is primarily used for telephone communication.

- To use the line dedicated for telephone communication, [Admin Settings] ö [Fax Settings] ö [Comm.
Settings] ö [RX Mode] must be set to [Manual RX].
To receive fax data manually by operating the Control Panel of this machine, when the external telephone
rings, press [Off-Hook] in the Fax screen, and make sure [Receive] is selected. Press [Start] or press Start.
To receive fax data manually, the following settings are required.
- External telephone: Connected
- [Admin Settings] ö [Fax Settings] ö [Comm. Settings] ö [RX Mode]: Set to [Manual RX]
Receiving
The external telephone continues to ring
• A user picks up the receiver and talks
• Press [Receive] and press [Start], or set the
Remote RX No. and hand up starts receiving*
* It is valid when Remote RX No. for [Admin Settings] ö [Fax Settings] ö [Remote RX Settings] is set.
