4 IPS Dashboard
4. 1 KIP Tab - Main Screen
The main screen of the KIP Color 80 - IPS Dashboard consists of 3 large icons under
the “KIP” tab:
a) Request
b) Production
Station
c) KC-80 RIP
There are also three other tabs:
a) About
b) Service
which contents are noted later in this chapter.
4. 1. 1 Request
The Request button launches an application that allows color and monochrome image files to be
printed on the KIP Color 80 as well as other KIP printers. Features such as print quantity, zoom,
basic color adjustment, stamping / watermarks, file viewing, pen control, and folding are only some
of the features of this application. The file formats that may be printed from this utility include tif, jpg,
plt, tlc, pdf, ps, eps, & dwf.

4. 1. 2 Production Station
The Production Station button launches the Copy, Scan, Job Info and ? Modes for the
KIP Color 80 system. Dependent on the system (such as the connection of the optional KIP
scanner) will enable/disable these sub screens. And as the name implies, color/mono copies scans
are produced using these screens.

4. 1. 3 KC80 RIP
The KC80 RIP button launches the KIP Color RIP software. This software allows the creation of
new profiles and advanced colour management / editing features and functions.
