Magic Movie

n

4 types of filters allow you to easily apply various

effects when shooting movies, enabling you to

capture dynamic scenes and special moments in

your own distinctive way.

[On]:

Enables the magic movie function. You can

select the magic movie type.

• Select the desired magic movie type from

[Rock], [Pop], [Pinhole], and [Sketch].

• If you select [Rock], effects from [1] to [3]

can be applied.

[Off]:

Disables this function.

Notes

• In case the magic movie is set to [On], only the

movie file with special effects will be recorded.

The original version of the movie will not be

recorded.

• Special effects cannot be applied or removed

afterwords.

• If you want to shoot a movie normally without

applying special effects, verify that the [Magic

Movie] setting is set to [Off] before shooting.

Image Stabilizer

n

You can reduce the amount of recorder shake that

can occur when shooting in low light situations or

shooting with high magnification.

[On]:

The image stabilizer is activated.

[Off]:

The image stabilizer is deactivated. This is

recommended for shooting when the recorder

is fixed in place on a tripod or other stable

surface.

Note

• Images may not be stabilized if recorder shake is

too severe.

Metering

n

The recorder is equipped with multi-zone metering

and spot metering. Set the proper metering

according to the scene to be shot.

[Multi-zone Metering]:

Shoots to obtain a balanced brightness over

the entire screen (Meters the brightness at the

center and surrounding areas of the screen

separately).

[Spot Metering]:

Shoots the subject at the center during

backlighting (Meters the brightness at the

center of the screen).

Note

• When set to [Multi-zone Metering], the center

may appear dark when shooting against strong

backlighting.

White Balance

n

For more natural coloring, choose a white balance

option suited to the scene.

[{] Auto:

The recorder automatically adjusts the white

balance according to the shooting scene.

[;] Sunny:

For shooting outdoors under a clear sky.

[<] Cloudy:

For shooting outdoors under a cloudy sky.

[:] Fluorescent:

For shooting under daylight fluorescent lighting

(household lighting, etc.).

[=] Incandescent:

For shooting under incandescent lighting

(office, etc.).

[|] Quick Operation:

You can set the optimum white balance for the

shooting conditions by pointing the recorder at

a white object like a sheet of white paper.
