CHANNEL INDICATORS

Light to indicate the selected channel.

CHANNEL

In case of poor reception due to interference
from other electrical devices, you can improve
reception by selecting another channel. Each
time you press the button, the channel
changes sequentially:

• Poor reception may cause the audio to be

interrupted or stopped. This is not
malfunction. Try changing the location or
orientation of the transmitter and/or the
wireless speaker to improve reception.

• The wireless speaker can be used at

distances of up to 10m from the
transmitter. This range may change
depending on the environment.

Transmitter antenna

Transmits signals to the wireless speaker.

Wireless speaker antenna

Receives signals from the transmitter.

POWER

Press to switch the unit on or off.

WIRELESS MODE switch

Slide to either select

W.SURROUND

or

W.STEREO

mode.

W.SURROUND

- Sounds going to the

surround left and right channels are heard
through the wireless speakers.

W.STEREO

- The wireless speaker can be

used as a second stereo speaker system
(which will output the same stereo signal as
the main system) when you use this setting
with the

5-STEREO mode on the receiver. You

will be able to adjust the sound of this speaker
independently using the

STEREO MODE

VOLUME

control (see below).

• When set to

W.SURROUND

, the

STEREO MODE VOLUME

control does

not function.

STEREO MODE VOLUME

Turn to adjust the speaker volume when the

WIRELESS

MODE is set to

W.STEREO

.

The

STEREO MODE VOLUME

control has

no effect when set to

W.SURROUND. Use the

receiver volume control to adjust the speaker
volume.

POWER indicator

Lights when the wireless speaker is switched
on.

TUNED indicator

Lights when the signal from the transmitter is
properly received.

Turn to adjust the wireless speaker volume.

Changing the volume with
W.SURROUND

When

W.SURROUND

is selected, you can

control the level of the wireless speaker by
adjusting the

LS and RS channel levels as

necessary for balanced surround sound.

in the receiver’s oper-
ating instructions.
[VSX-D514] Refer to the section on Setting
the relative volume level of each channel
in the
receiver’s operating instructions.

[VSX-D514 only]

You can also use the signal converter

AUDIO

LEVEL control to adjust the wireless speaker
volume.

• When setting up the receiver, make sure

the surround speakers are set to

S(small).

Settings larger than

S will result in lower

frequency distortion in sources that have
a lot of bass.
