Inputting text
When you tap a text input area of an AppRadio-compatible
smartphone application, a keyboard will be displayed
on-screen. You can input the desired text directly from
AppRadio.
For iPhone
When
is tapped, the AppRadio keyboard is hidden and
text can be entered using the iPhone’s keyboard.
The AppRadio keyboard layout can be changed within the
Keyboard Language Settings screen on AppRadio.

Playing iPod music or videos
You can play and operate the audio or video source with
iPod connected.
When an iPod is connected to this product, an [iPod] icon
appears on the home screen. When you tap [iPod] on the
Home screen, the iPod audio source screen appears.
You can control playback by tapping the control keys.
To select the audio source:
1. Tap the
icon to display the playlist screen.
2. Locate and tap the audio source you want to play from the
playlist.
To switch to video mode:
1. Tap the
icon to display the playlist screen.
2. Tap the icon to switch to video mode.
3. Locate and tap the video source you want to play from the
playlist.

Listening to the radio
When you tap the [Radio] icon on the Home screen, the radio
source screen appears and the broadcast starts.
Tap a preset channel key to select a preset channel.
To manually adjust the frequency, tap
or .
To automatically search for receivable frequencies, touch and
hold
or until search starts.
To switch the frequency bands, tap icon or icon.

Hands-free phoning
You can control the Bluetooth connection of the smartphone,
and make a call using the incoming/outgoing call histories,
transferred contacts, or by dialling.
Registering your device
1. Tap the [Phone] icon to display the phone menu.
2. Tap the
icon to display the “Bluetooth Connection
Menu”.
3. Tap the [Connection].
4. Tap the
icon to display a list of registerable devices.
5. Tap the name of the device you want to register in the
device list.
6. When PIN code input is required, enter the PIN code (The
default PIN code is “0000”).
When registration is successful, Bluetooth connection starts.
Disconnecting and re-connecting your device
Tap the name of your device in the registered device list to
disconnect the Bluetooth connection. To connect your device
and this product again, tap the name of your device in the
registered device list.
Transferring your phone book to this product
The phone book in your smartphone will be transferred to this
product automatically when the smartphone is paired with it.
If the phone book is not transferred automatically, perform the
phone book transfer from your smartphone.
After fi nding the number you want to call in the phone book,
you can select the entry and make the call.
Setting menus
1. Display the [Settings] icon by fl icking the Home screen.
2. Tap the [Settings] icon to display the menu top screen.
3. Tap the desired menu icon to switch between setting
menu tabs.
4. Tap the desired setting menu from the menu list.
System menu
From the System menu screen, the following settings can
be accessed: language display, keyboard layout, date-time,
subwoofer output, etc.
Audio menu
From the Audio settings screen, audio settings including
sound quality adjustment and in-car sound fi eld (fader/
balance) can be accessed.
Favourites menu
From the Favourites menu screen, the registered favourite
menus can be accessed.
You can register menus as Favorites by pressing and
holding the desired menu name in each setting menu.
A icon will appear after registering the menu.
