Tuner Operation

Local Seek Tuning

This function selects only stations with especially strong signals. The sensitivity can be
adjusted in 4 steps for FM and 2 steps for MW/LW.

FM

: L-1

+= L-2 += L-3 += L-4

MW/LW : L-1

+= L-2

Note:

• The L-4 setting allows reception of only the strongest stations, while lower settings let you receive

progressively weaker stations.

• The Local Seek Level is indicated in the display for about 5 seconds.
• After selecting the Local Seek sensitivity if you do not perform an operation for more than 5

seconds, the Local Seek sensitivity selecting mode is automatically canceled.

• When you cancel the Local Seek sensitivity selecting mode, press the LOCAL button.

Best Stations Memory (BSM)

The BSM function stores stations in memory automatically.

Note:

• “

” flashes in the display until BSM operation is completed.

• If there are fewer than 6 strong stations in the area, some of the preset buttons will not be assigned

frequencies, so they will retain any frequencies assigned to them previously.

• To cancel the process, press the BSM button before memorization is

complete.

• Press the BSM button for 2

seconds to switch BSM ON.

The stations with the strongest
signals will be stored under buttons
1–6 and in order of their signal
strength.
