The figure below shows the computer’s left side.

The left side of the computer

Display latch

This latch secures the LCD panel in its closed
position. Slide the latch to open the display.

Microphone

Microphone (built-in) lets you record sounds into
your applications. Refer to

A security cable attaches to this slot. The
optional security cable anchors your computer to
a desk or other large object to deter theft.

This switch turns the wireless networking and
Bluetooth functions on and off. Please note that
Bluetooth is not available on all models.

Set the switch to off in airplanes and hospitals. Check the wireless
communication indicator. It will stop glowing when the wireless
communication function is off.

The Wireless Communication switch indicator
glows orange when the wireless networking and
Bluetooth function is on. Please note that
Bluetooth is not available on all models.

Universal
Serial Bus
(USB 2.0) port

A single Universal Serial Bus port is located on
the left side. This port complies with the USB 2.0
standard, which enables data transfer speeds 40
times faster than the USB 1.1 standard (the port
also supports USB 1.1).
