How to U se This pr oduct is for household use only.
• Befor e using for the fir st time, wash the bowl and cutting blade in warm, sudsy
water and dry thoroughl y. Both of these parts and the slip-r esistant base/lid
are dishwasher-safe. Wipe the chopper top with a damp cl oth and dry. Do not
immerse the chopper top in wat er.

Note: Do not oper ate the applianc e when empty. This appliance is int ended for
proc essing small quantities of food. It is not int ended to prepar e lar ge quantities of
food at one time. This product has a pulse action featur e. A void running the motor
for more than 1 minute continuousl y.
Warning: Do NO T plac e chopper bowl or lid in a microwav e ov en. The y ar e not
microwav e-safe.
ASSEMBLING THE C HOPPER
1. T o as semble, pres s the slip-resis tant base/lid ont o the
bottom of the bowl. This slip-r esistant base MUST be in
place befor e oper ating the chopper (A).
2. Car efully slide the cutting blade down over the pos t
without touching the blade as it is extr emely sharp. You
may hav e to turn the blade slightl y by rot ating the shaft
until it falls into place.
3. Plac e the chopper top over the bo wl so that the daisy
notch fits ov er the daisy tab of the cutting blade shaft.
CHOPPING /MINCING
1. This chopper has a 3-cup (720 ml) dry food capacity and 1¼ cup (300 ml) liquid
food capacity . Do not fill above the MAX liquid line for liquid foods. Some foods
proc ess best with smaller amounts (see CHOPPING GUID e). Larger amounts
should be proc essed in small batches.
2. Plug in the unit.
3. Res t your hand comf ortabl y ov er the soft-grip surf ace of the chopper top so that
your fingers ext end ov er the pulse HIGH/L OW button area.
4. Pr ess and hold the butt on with 2 dots (HIGH) or the butt on with 1 dot (LOW).
Pulse for a fe w sec onds at a time. Be car eful not to overpr oces s. The longer you
pulse, the finer the textur e. For coar sely chopped foods, use LO W and pulse for
shorter times.
5. When you rel ease the pulse butt on, the operation will st op. Be sure the blade
stops spinning bef ore remo ving the chopper top. Unplug the unit. Gr asp the
shaft, twis t slightl y, and car efully pull the cutting blade str aight up without
touching the blades. empty the pr oces sed food.
6. Y ou may stor e extr a chopped/minc ed food directl y in the
bowl. Just pull the slip-r esistant base off the bott om of
the bo wl, flip it ov er, and pres s it onto the top of the bowl
to serve as a stor age lid (B). Plac e in the refriger ator .

Tips
• Want a vinaigrette to perk up vegetables or salad? Just combine olive oil,
vinegar and herbs of your choice in the bowl and pulse to blend. Be sure not to
exceed the MAX liquid level.
• To pureé a cooked vegetable or fruit for a garnish over meat, add up to 2 cups
of the food to the bowl and process until smooth.
• For quick homemade baby food, process up to 1 cup diced, cooked meat/
poultry, cooked vegetables, or cooked or raw fruit. Add a little gravy, broth, or
milk to make the baby food smoother.
Care and Cleaning
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service
personnel.
1. Wash the bowl, cutting blade and slip-resistant base/lid immediately after use,
either in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher — top rack only.
2. Wipe the chopper top with a damp cloth or sponge; then dry. Do not immerse in
liquid.
3. Since the cutting blade is extremely sharp, handle very carefully and store it in
the unit.

CHOPPING GUIDE
FOOD PREPARATION TIPS
Bread Use up to 3 slices at a time. Break each slice
into quarters. Makes about 1½ cups (360 ml).
Carrots/Celery Cut into ¾” (1.91 cm) lengths. Use up to 2 cups
(480 ml) carrots or 3 cups (720 ml) celery at a
time.
Chocolate Chips Use up to ½ cup (120 ml) chips at a time. Process
on HIGH for 30 – 50 seconds for fine chopped
results.
eggs — Hard-cooked Peel; cut into quarters. Use up to 4 eggs at
a time.
Garlic/Ginger Peel; cut ginger into ¾" (1.91 cm) squares. Chop
as little as 1 clove/square, or as much as 1 head
garlic or 1 cup (240 ml) ginger cubes at a time.
Graham Crackers Add up to 7 rectangles at a time, broken into
quarters. Pulse to crumb. (Makes 1 cup / 240 ml )
Mushrooms Quarter for best results. Use up to ¾ cup (180 ml)
at a time. Pulse to desired texture.
Nuts, Soft Add up to 3 cups (720 ml) at a time; less for more
(pecans, walnuts) coarse texture.
Onions/Green Onions Peel up to 2 medium diameter) or 3 small
(1½"/3.80 cm diameter) onions . Cut each into
6 pieces. For green onions, cut into 1" (2.5 cm)
lengths. Use up to 1 cup (240 ml) at a time.
Parsley/Herbs Wash; dry thoroughly. Add up to 3 cups (720 ml);
process about 25 seconds for fine results.
Peppers Remove seeds. Cut into ½” (1.27 cm) pieces.
Add up to 1 cup (240 ml). Peppers process quickly.
