HELP & ADVICE

Emergency services

The emergency services can be contacted in the
UK by dialling 999. You may also dial 112, which
is valid in any country that is a member of the
European Community.

In certain situations you may not be able to
make an emergency call:

• If the telephone line is disconnected.

• If there is a line fault, whether on your phone

or in the network.

• If there is a power failure.

If your BT Quartet 2010 is connected to a PBX
(switchboard), you may have to dial an access
number before entering 999 to contact the
emergency services.

It is recommended that alternative arrangements
are provided to enable you to make emergency
calls during a mains power failure.

Safety instructions

Use only the power adaptor supplied
and the handset battery pack supplied.

There is a slight chance that your phone
could be damaged by an electrical
storm. We recommend that you unplug

your Quartet 2010 from the mains power and
telephone line socket during storms.

The Quartet 2010 base unit, handset and
charging units produce a small amount
of heat during use. Therefore, we advise

against placing these products on antique, veneered
or wooden surfaces as damage may occur.

Do not use your Quartet 2010 in damp,
humid conditions such as bathrooms.
