3. Attach the threaded post to the body. The end with the hole goes at the top

of the carrier for the padlock. The post is long so you can adjust it for the size

of your spare tire wheel. Leave enough post out the top of the carrier for
your spare tire and the Rock Slide Star that holds your tire in place. Attach

the post underneath the carrier with the large round painted washer, then

the ¾” washer, then tighten with nut (see below). On the top of the carrier,

tighten the post to the carrier with a ¾” washer and nut. Tighten both nuts
to sandwich the post on the carrier body.

4. Set the assembled Spare Tire Carrier in the bed of the truck. The carrier

attaches to the bed using factory bolts. Set in position (as pictured below).
You can then determine which of the factory bolts need to be removed to

attach the carrier.

5. Remove the four applicable factory bolts to be used to attach the carrier. The

nuts are underneath the bed. Take the nuts and washers off (keep to be

reused) and push the bolts up through the bed. Remove all the way in the
bed (keep to be reused).

6. Attach the spare tire carrier to the bed using at the four spots with the

removed bolts. Push the carriage bolts through the spare tire carrier, and
