Important safety information

Handling Handle iPod shuffle with care. It has sensitive electronic components. iPod shuffle
can be damaged if dropped, burned, punctured, or crushed, or if it comes in contact with liquid.

Battery Don’t attempt to replace the battery in iPod shuffle yourself as you may damage the
battery, which may cause overheating and injury. The lithium-ion battery in the iPod shuffle
should be replaced only by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider, and must be recycled
or disposed of separately from household waste. Don’t incinerate the battery. For information

Distraction Using iPod shuffle in some circumstances can distract you and may cause a
dangerous situation. Observe rules that prohibit or restrict the use of headphones (for example
using headphones while riding a bicycle).
Charging Charge iPod shuffle with the included cable and optional power adapter or other
third-party Made for iPod cable and power adapters that are compatible with USB 2.0. Using
damaged cables or chargers, or charging when moisture is present, can cause electric shock.
When you use the Apple USB Power Adapter (available separately at

to charge iPod shuffle, make sure that the AC plug or AC power cord is fully inserted into the
adapter before you plug it into a power outlet. Power adapters may become warm during
normal use, and prolonged contact may cause injury. Always allow adequate ventilation around
power adapters when using.
