Using iPod mini

About iTunes

iTunes is the software application you use to manage the music on your computer and

transfer music to iPod mini. When you connect iPod mini to your computer, iTunes

opens automatically.

Here are some of the things you can do with iTunes:

Purchase and download songs from the iTunes Music Store

Listen to CDs and digital music

Add music from CDs to your music library, so you don’t need to have the CD in

the drive to play music

Organize songs into playlists you create

Make your own CDs (if your computer has a CD-writable optical drive)

Listen to Internet radio stations

This booklet explains how to transfer songs to iPod mini using iTunes and manage

songs on iPod mini. For information about using the other features of iTunes, open

iTunes and choose Help > iTunes and Music Store Help.

About the iTunes Music Store

Using iTunes, you can preview, purchase, and download your favorite songs from the

iTunes Music Store (available in some countries only). There are hundreds of thousands

of songs available. You can use an Apple Account to sign on to the music store, or if

you have an America Online (AOL) account, you can use that.
