1. You cannot hear your unborn baby with your Prenatal Heart Listener

®

.

a. It may be too early in your pregnancy to hear your baby. Wait until

you are in your third trimester when the fetal heartbeat starts

becoming louder.

b. It is quite normal not to hear your baby due to her position. Try

again later. The best time to listen is 3 to 4 hours after a meal and

when you are relaxed. You may also want to try placing the Prenatal
Heart Listener

®

against your lower back as this may help minimize

interference from your own body's sounds.

c. Unit is not on. Turn unit on by turning the Power/Volume control

wheel to the right until you hear a click and the red power indicator
lights up.

d. Volume control is turned down. Increase the volume by turning the

Power/Volume control wheel to the right.

e. The headset is not connected to the monitor. Make sure the

headset is securely plugged into either jack on the monitor.

f. Battery is low. Red power indicator light will dim. Insert a new 9-volt

alkaline battery.

g. Battery is not inserted properly. Open the battery compartment

and check to see that positive (+) is matched with positive (+) and
negative (-) is matched with negative (-).

• During long periods of non-use, remove battery from the compartment.

• Please dispose of batteries properly and safely.

• Do not use or place open fl ames such as lighted candles on or near the unit.

should be used in normal room

temperature. Do not use in extreme heat or cold.
