Connecting headphones to your monitor
If you wish, you can plug a pair of headphones (or other sound output device)
into the Apple Multiple Scan 17 Display. To plug your headphones into the
monitor stand, follow these steps:
1 If your headphones are attached to the sound output port (marked by - ) on the back of
your computer, unplug them.
2 Plug the headphones into the headphone port (marked by f ) on the front of the monitor
stand.
3 Attach one end of the included sound output cable to the sound output port (marked by
- ) on the back of the computer.
4 Attach the other end of the sound output cable to the sound output port (marked by - )
on the back of the monitor stand.
Turning the monitor on
To turn on the monitor for the first time:
1 Start up your computer.
2 Press the Power button on the front right side of the monitor.

WARNING Be careful not to plug your headphones into the microphone
port (marked by X). Doing so may damage your audio equipment.
