Defining a Logical Port

The lower level networking requires that a system port number be associated with the
RFC destination. The logical port identifies the port to which messages are sent. The
logical port can only be used if an RFC destination was previously created.

1. In the SAP Main window, choose Tools

Business Communications

IDOCs

Basis

IDOC

Port Definition, or execute transaction

.

2. Select the Transactional RFC tree item and click Create.

3. Select generate port name.

The system generates the port name.

4. Enter the IDoc version you want to send through this port.

5. Click the destination you created, for example, BEASAPDEST.
